i suppose by just writing whatever comes out. every day. we’ll see.

lets start with short simple things. like:
the new star trek movie: epic
the [2nd] eclipse i just bought: broken
my life: a damn mess
my finances: a bigger mess

but as usual i will keep on with my normal mindset of i know what im doing, where im going, and what i want. even though i have no idea. because thats what i do. the more i realize that i learn more and more about myself each day, the more it turns out that all you can ever learn is what you already know.

last night i finally bonded with my dog.

to take a couple steps back…. a couple of months ago, jessica decided it would be a great idea to go out and get a puppy. a chihahua puppy. knowing that i am deathly allergic to dogs. if i come within 50 feet of a dog, my allergies kick into overdrive, and then cause my asthma to come out of nowhere and attempt to kill me. it gets really bad. and i mean really bad.

so for the past couple of months, i ‘take care’ of our dog, but i don’t enjoy it at all. all she seems to do is get her hair everywhere, jump all over me, and generally make me miserable. i lost count of how many times i daydreamed of punting her through a couple of goal posts.

tonight, with jessica at school and dylan at his grandparent’s, it was me and our dog. alone. we started out with our usual staring at each other hating each other’s guts. this lasted for an hour or so…. i decided to get up and take her out. she actually went to the bathroom on her first trip outside. i was amazed. on the way back in she went and stood at her food and water bowls. this prompted me to grumble, then get her some fresh food and water. while she ate, i realized how nice the weather outside was, so i threw a shirt and some shoes on. almost as if she could read my mind, she met me at the door. together, we went for a jog around the block.

after our short jog [which served to remind me how out of shape i am], we came back and played a little bit of fetch and i spent a bit of time trying some more to train her to sit. we spent the last hour before bedtime sitting together at my computer. today had the perfect combination of my allergies not bothering me, my patience for the dog lasting longer than normal, and the puppy behaving better than normal. thanks to this random trifecta i finally started to bond a little with our dog and her a little with me. while i feel these days will probably be few and far between, knowing that they do exist, makes it all worth it

[and as i save this post, i turn around to find that she has gone to the bathroom on my living room carpet!]

i apologize if today’s blog seems to be lacking direction…. i couldn’t narrow it down to a specific topic, so i decided to just kind of throw out three or four random things….

first up is a great article that i love to throw in the face of all you losers out there who love to brag about your 4gb of ram and 1gb super macho gpu killer gaming machines:

which leads me to a apple/iphone semi rant:
1) FIX THE DAMN KEYBOARD LAG ALREADY….
2) IMPLEMENT BACKGROUND SERVICES ALREADY SO I CAN USE AIM….
3) Where are all the amazing productivity apps? When the SDK was announced I went to sleep each night dreaming of the amazing wonders that awaited me. I dreamt of controlling anything and everything with my iphone. Is it me, or is it just 98% games? Maybe i’m just not looking in the right places? That being said, here’s what I currently have installed:

yes i know, there’s a commercial about standup2cancer, with a url and they will be having a show with a telethon and blah blah blah…. but this commercial last night was different and just plain… stupid…. no info about the website or show or ANYTHING AT ALL

sitting around doing a whole bunch of nothing… just wrapping up the end up my 3day weekend….

i’ve decided since i can’t ever think of what to write, ill just record a bunch of video each day and post it up, funny or not. informative or not. stupid or not. lol.
